Course Overview
The master varnish course is designed to train you in the "alchemy" of preparing different types of varnishes and the art of applying them to achieve high-quality finishes on your instruments.
In the classes we develop the master methods and formulas, applying quality control procedures, according to the specific work instructions corresponding to each stage of the processes (using all necessary personal safety elements), to obtain the expected professional results.
The program contains the procedures for the preparation and application of alcohol-based varnishes, mixed varnishes, oil varnishes, pigments and organic compounds, which enhance the beauty and durability of your instruments.
Due to its complexity, this course is indicated for apprentices with intermediate and advanced level skills and knowledge in lutherie.
Course Details
Amounts: *2 Classes UYU $35.000 (includes all materials).
Terms & Conditions: Prepayment. *24 hours notice of cancellation is required for rescheduling.
Duration: 2 group classes (10 hours)
Participants: Limited to 3 apprentices (personalized attention)
Requirements: Suitable for Intermediate and Advanced level trainees only. Please note that the use of work clothes, closed toed shoes, and appropriate safety equipment is mandatory at all times in the workshop. This is manual work and will require appropriate clothing and protective gear.
